Johnson, age 53, Wittenberg, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at his home.<br />He was born on October 19, 1958 in Illinois, the son of Fred and Joan (Fanella) Johnson, Wittenberg.<br />Don and his brother owned and operated Johnson Veal, Wittenberg for 25 years.&nbsp; He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Chicago Blackhawk and Minnesota Vikings fan.<br />Survivors include a son; Josh of Wittenberg, his parents; Fred and Joan Johnson, Wittenberg, one brother; Roy (Misty Hiller) Johnson, Wittenberg, one sister; Misty (Jim West) Johnson, Appleton, nieces and nephews; Jayden, Rachel, Olivyah and Roman, and many other family members and friends.</span></p>

Rosenow" /><p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"></span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ronald L. Rosenow, age 71, Wittenberg, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of AseraCare Hospice.<br />He was born on December 29, 1940 in the township of Morris, the son of the late<a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=28874"> Herbert</a> and <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=28873">Frieda</a> (Herzberg) Rosenow.<br />Ronald graduated from Bowler High School in 1958 and then farmed with his parents and brother.&nbsp; They operated the Evergreen Dairy, bottling and distributing milk to customers in nearby towns.<br />On October 6, 1962 Ronald was united in marriage to Fay Seefeldt in Wittenberg.&nbsp; She survives.<br />Ron and Fay raised beef cattle and ostriches.&nbsp; He also worked at Up Country Manufacturing until recently.&nbsp; Ron was able to fix anything and was always ready to help when asked.&nbsp; His biggest joy was spending time at the cottage, on the pontoon boat with a fish pole in his hand.&nbsp; He also was the fabric cutter and sewer of the quilts for sale at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.<br />Survivors include his wife, Fay Rosenow, Wittenberg; their daughter, Lori Hartleben, Wittenberg and her children, Jordan (Ashley) Hartleben, Honolulu, HI and Cody Hartleben, Menominee, WI; their son, Kevin Rosenow, Wittenberg and his children, Callie Rosenow (fiancee Brandon Hirsch), Weston and Courtney Rosenow, Eau Claire.&nbsp; He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Donnamae Rosenow, Wittenberg and a brother-in-law, Gary (Bernadine) Seefeldt, Antigo.<br />In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=28875">LaVerne Rosenow.</a></span></span></p>

Converse, age 76, Antigo, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Langlade Hospital.<br />He was born on January 21, 1936 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late<a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid4=28463"> Stephen </a>and<a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=28462"> Carolyn</a> (McArthey) Converse.<br />Richard served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1957.<br />On June 27, 1959, Richard was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Schreurs at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa.&nbsp; She survives.<br />Richard worked for F.F. Mengel, Wisconsin Rapids and Payne and Dolan, Waukesha, as a road construction supervisor.&nbsp; He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #139,&nbsp; the John Owen American Legion Post #287, Mattoon and St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa.&nbsp; Richard was the life of the party, always joking around and having fun, this earned him the childhood nickname, "Boogie".&nbsp; He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, spending time up north, traveling and writing poetry, but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.<br />Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Converse, Antigo; five children, Camille (Gary) Smith, Aniwa, Stephen (girlfriend, Laura) Converse, Aniwa, Carol (Todd) Mowrer, Wausau, Andrew (Linda) Converse, Birnamwood and Matthew (Amy) Converse, Antigo; 16 grandchildren, Jothan, Christopher, Holland, Jesse, Joseph, Leah, Tammy Jo, Andrew Jr., Anthony, Aaron, Allan, Chad, Jamie, Michael, Sam and Alex and 10 great-grandchildren.&nbsp; He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, including his sister's children, Judy Dedic and Joan (Bill) Hietmanek, both of Chicago.<br />In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one son, <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=29317">Patrick Converse;</a> daughter-in-law, <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=29314">Linda </a>(Froehlich) Converse; one grandchild; his sister, Patricia Anderson and his nephew, Ross Anderson.</span></span></p>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://schmidtschulta.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/92_114394.jpg" alt="Sidney &quot;Sid&quot; James Matsche" /><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Sidney "Sid" J. Matsche, age 46, Birnamwood, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Langlade Hospital, Antigo.<br />He was born on January 13, 1966 in Wausau, the son of James and Germaine (Ostrowski) Matsche, Birnamwood.<br />On April 2, 2005, Sid was united in marriage to Tammy Jaeck at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley.&nbsp; She survives.<br />Sid was a 1982 graduate of Bowler High School.&nbsp; He farmed in the town of Almon all his life.&nbsp; Sid enjoyed farming, tractor pulls, camping, fishing, cooking and snowmobiling, but he especially loved spending time with his children, family and friends.&nbsp; Sid will be greatly missed by his wife, children and all who knew him.<br />In addition to his parents, James and Germaine Matsche and his wife, Tammy Matsche, Birnamwood, Sid is survived by two children, Taylor Matsche and Rylee Matsche, Birnamwood; his siblings, Scott (Carrie) Matsche, Birnamwood, Sandra (Bill) Lang, Goulburn, Australia, Steven (Sarah) Matsche, Hatley, Susan (Brian) Keene, San Francisco, CA and Shelly (Chad) Nousen, Birnamwood; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Darlene Jaeck and sisters-in-law, Heather Jaeck and Tracy Jaeck.&nbsp; Sid is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</span></span></p>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://schmidtschulta.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/92_113821.jpg" alt="Eugene Duranceau" /><p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Eugene Duranceau, 79, Bowler, died on Thursday, January 26, 2012 under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, Wausau at his home.<br />He was born on October 25, 1932 in Brokaw, WI, the son of the late Frank and Myrtle (See) Duranceau.&nbsp; Eugene was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War in the 1st Cavalry.&nbsp; <br />On October 15, 1960, Eugene was united in marriage to Charlene Fordham in Waukesha.&nbsp; She survives.<br />Eugene was employed as a Lumber Yard Foreman for Home Supply in Waukesha for 38 years until his retirement.&nbsp; He enjoyed cutting wood, hunting, fishing and driving his tractor.&nbsp; Eugene especially enjoyed the time spent with his children and grandchildren.<br />In addition to his wife Charlene, survivors include four children, David (Laurie) Duranceau, Waukesha, Daniel (Jill) Duranceau, Stevens Point, Debra (Steve) Fleischmann, Eagle and Peggy (Joon) Park, Columbus, OH; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Park, Hannah Burton, Sarah Park, Danielle Duranceau, Andrew Fleischmann, Christopher Fleischmann, Caitlin Duranceau, Megan Fleischmann, Austin Duranceau, and Cody Duranceau; one sister Belva (Edwin) Marshman, Watertown and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence and two sisters, Ione Dixon and Lois Schmidt.</span></span></p><p>[<a href="http://schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=3&obituaryid=113821">Sign Guestbook</a>]  [<a href="http://schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=5&obituaryid=113821">View Guestbook</a>]</p>]]></description>

Stroik, age 86, Wittenberg, died on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at North Central Health Care Center, Wausau.<br />He was born on August 25, 1925 in the Township of Germania, Shawano County, the son of the late <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=28884">Julian</a> and <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=30097">Julia</a> (Wierzba) Stroik.<br />Ray was a US Army Veteran serving during World War II in Japan.&nbsp; He was a member of the Elderon Memorial Post #8068 VFW.<br />On September 21, 1953, Ray was united in marriage to Patricia Hintz at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent.&nbsp; She survives.<br />Ray worked at Briggs &amp; Stratton, Milwaukee and the couple also farmed the family farm in the township of Germania.&nbsp; He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway and its Men&rsquo;s Society of which he was a former president.&nbsp; Ray enjoyed the Milwaukee Brewers, cutting wood but especially enjoyed deer hunting.<br />Survivors include his wife, Patricia, their children; Paul (Kari) Stroik, Whiting, Michael (Julie) Stroik, Joseph (Cindy) Stroik, and Charmayne (Mike) Paap, all of Wittenberg, Pamela (Mark) Smith, Saukville, Lorraine Skibba, Junction City, John (Mary) Stroik, Waldo, Monica (Todd) Abt, Ringle, Frank Stroik, Rosholt, Samuel (Kristi) Stroik and Sally Stroik, both of Schofield, 26 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and siblings; Emily Filtz, Sugar Camp and Victor Stroik, Oak Creek.&nbsp; In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a child in infancy, Maryann, three grandsons; Timothy Stroik, Raymond Skibba &amp; Noah Kedrowski, siblings; <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=28883">Tony</a>, Frank, <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=30096">Felix</a>, Stanley, Leo, <a href="http://www.schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&amp;action=1&amp;value=12&amp;menuitem=756&amp;obituaries_action=2&amp;obituaryid=31961">Walter</a> and Esther Steinke.<br /><br /></span></p><p>[<a href="http://schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=3&obituaryid=113573">Sign Guestbook</a>]  [<a href="http://schmidtschulta.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=92&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=5&obituaryid=113573">View Guestbook</a>]</p>]]></description>
