Name: Norbert Joseph Kosobucki Dates: Birth date: June 06, 1921 Death date: February 07, 2010 Obituary: Norbert J. Kosobucki, 88, Town of Franzen, Marathon County, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born June 6, 1921 in Wausau, the son of the late Vincent and Helen (Albrent) Kosobucki. On June 5, 1943, Norbert was united in marriage to Loretta Frydach in Rosholt. She survives. The couple dairy farmed in the Town of Franzen until their retirement. He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Men’s Society and established the 4-H Club in Galloway. Norbert enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing roses, but especially loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife; Loretta Kosobucki, five children; Kathleen (Leroy) West, Schofield, Janice (Roger) Kohn, Wausau, Jerome Kosobucki, Town of Franzen, Marlene (Sid) Bavlnka, Rochester, Minn. and Karen (John) Hall, Woodruff, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law; Eleanor Kosobucki, Wittenberg. In addition to his parents, Norbert was preceded in death by a son, Gerald; four brothers, Ray, Frank, Lawrence and Florian and one sister, Zepherine. Visitation: Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11am until the time of services at the church. Service: The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Fr. Rex Zimmerman will officiate.
