Newell Webb, age 83, Birnamwood, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. He was born on November 16, 1926 in Provo, Utah, the son of the late Robert Glenn and Jetta (Heki) Webb. On December 31, 2000 he was united in marriage to Margaret "Margie" Wierzba in West Yellowstone, Montana. Newell served in the Merchant Marines from 1944 until 1946. He worked as a long haul truck driver and heavy equipment operator for 35 years. He worked at the Utah State Prison for 20 years both as a diesel mechanic and prison guard until his retirement. After retirement, he moved to West Yellowstone, Montana where he lived until moving to Wisconsin in 2004. Newell enjoyed flying planes, making jewelry, shooting guns and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Margie", Birnamwood; nine children, Larry (Paulette) Webb, American Fork, Utah, Roger (Marilyn) Webb, Colorado, Lucinda Martin, Taylorsville, Utah, Mikalene Boren, Orem, Utah, Owen (Faye) Quarnberg, Mapleton, Utah, Chris (Shari) Quarnberg, Bountiful, Utah, Tina (Scott) Kindred, Idaho, Daniel Disbrow, Utah and Kathy Luchini, Washington; 61 grandchildren; over 100 great-grandchildren; one sister, Buela Rae (Ross) Wilson, Utah and his mother-in-law, Agnes Wierzba, Weston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children, Lynn Quarnberg, Brenda Heath and Rita Disbrow; one brother, Harold Webb and one sister, Glenna Cutter.
